Nature Treks provides many guided outdoor bike, canoe and kayak treks into Central Wisconsin. Guides are not required for a group outing but are useful. Our qualified staff provides safe instruction for beginners and interpret the natural history of the rivers and trails. The fee per guide is $15.00 per hour and covers the guides wage and ins.

We charge a 15% handling fee for large corporate groups who don't use guides because of the extra staff needed for setup.

JOB OPENINGS at Nature Treks

We are excepting applications for the 2010 season for Manager(closed), Naturalist/Asst Manager(closed), Guides(open), Bike Repair(closed) and Concessions Staff(open).

Locations include Allen Lake(closed for 2010 season) and Hartman Lake(2 concession/guide positions closed) in the Hartman Creek State Park. The main location in Iverson Park, Stevens Point operating 3 building sites which include the Hwy 10 Bike Shop(closed for the 2010 season), Nature Center (open with 5-8 positions), Beach House(1-2 bike and concession positions)and NEWLY OPENING for 2010 the Bukolt Park beach house in Stevens Point(2-3 guides and concession positions).

All concession staff must be at least 17 but other staff must be 21 years to retired individuals with good driving records, have experience in outdoor rec. or enjoy the outdoors, cert. in life saving and first-aid a plus but not required. You should work well by your self/others and youth groups, have office skills, know the Central Wisconsin Rec. Areas and be willing to work most summer holidays and weekends! Hours vary 15-40 weekly depending on weather, day of the week and reservations.
Pay ranges on experience and position $7.25-$15.00 per hr. Guides also receive tips.
