This page dedicated to the many different animal species that come in to our rescue. Many of them become our Creature Teachers and can be seen on our many different assembly programs. Others are being fostered until we can place them with class rooms, schools, libraries, nature centers and accredited zoos and reptile houses!
Recently PBS featured a Nature program on the problem with non-native animal species found in Florida. Many of these creatures have gotten a good foot hold in that semi-tropical state when even in their native homes around the world they are disappearing. The show is 30-45 min long and features pythons that have naturalized them self in the everglades causing real problems for native wildlife. This is a must see for the class room! Check out the threatened, endangered and extinct wildlife red lists and weblinks. A great mini show on species diversity and extinction is featured.
Don't forget to check out the TV show "Animal Horders" and see how you can help the animals in those situations!
