Nature Treks transports to many rivers in Portage County and Central Wisconsin including the Plover River,Mill Creek,Little Wolf,Waupaca/Tomorrow,Eau Claire, Rib and the Wisconsin River. If we have to leave the county there is an additional charge per rental package. Check our rivers and trails page for write ups. Most of these river runs will take a good half day so come prepared. Shorter runs are great for the small office or business outing and private parties.*ALL RIVER RUNS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER AND RIVER CONDITIONS!

  • ~For the active older single looking for something outdoors to do in Central Wisconsin take part in the Central Wisconsin Singles Network activities.
  • ~Fun and high adventure awaits those who take part a paddle on the Wisconsin River sponsored by Paddle Quest. It's not your normal party crowd!
  • ~If your the kind of lady who enjoys the great outdoors without your better half check out (Becoming an Outdoors Woman Program).
  • ~If you are looking for something fun for the whole family check out GEO CACHING GROUP OUTINGS!
  • ~Help the local Audubon Chapter in spring with their salamander and amphibian count.
  • *If helping with local conservation projects is your thing then check out the Golden Sands Resource Conservation website. Count Prairie Chickens, Celebrate Wisconsin Grasslands, visit the historic Hamerstrom Home or see wildlife in the Mead, Buena Vista, Sandhill and Olson Wildlife Areas.
  • *If you have young kids there are a few great places to visit. Our first is the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum located downtown, the Natural History Museum located in the UWSP Library, Portage County Libraries, UWSP-Schmeekle Reserve Visitor Center, Portage County Parks Jordan Nature Center and the many Porage County Historical sites. All offer special events seasonally and year round!
