Nature Treks transports to many rivers in Portage County and Central Wisconsin. If we have to leave the county there is an additional charge per rental package. Check our rivers and trails page for write ups. Most of these river runs will take a good half day so come prepared. Shorter runs are great for the small office or business outing and private parties. We offer voyageur canoe runs on the Wisconsin River for groups up to 10 persons.

~Fun and high adventure awaits those who take part a paddle on the Wisconsin River sponsored by Paddle Quest. It's not your normal party crowd!

~Feeling like a bobber? Then take some whitewater classes offered at Wausau White Water a non-profit organization.

*If helping with local conservation projects is your thing then check out the Golden Sands Resource Conservation website. Count Prairie Chickens, Celebrate Wisconsin Grasslands, visit the historic Hamerstrom Home or see wildlife in the Mead, Buena Vista, Sandhill and Olson Wildlife Areas.
Reserve your space to view "Prairie Chickens" locally at the Carl and Carol Flaig Farm located northwest of Rudolph 715-570-0782. Nature Treks will be offering shuttle for you early birds from March to May seasonally or until the booming season ends!

If you have young kids there are a few great places to visit. Our first is the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum located downtown, the Natural History Museum located in the UWSP Library, Portage County Libraries, UWSP-Schmeekle Reserve Visitor Center, Portage County Parks Jordan Nature Center and the many Porage County Historical sites. All offer special events seasonally and year round!
